Sports Club:
Welcome back !
The goal of the IHM
Sports Club is to give
our children every
opportunity to learn
fundamental and
intermediate skills in
an environment
supportive of their
efforts, rather than
focus on winning. Our
hope is that learning
new skills while having
fun will increase
confidence, interest and
participation, school
pride, teamwork, and
most of all good
sportsmanship!
-
IHM students are
eligible to compete
against other
Scarsdale grammar
schools. Students
are able to
participate in
soccer, basketball,
girl's softball,
football, lacrosse,
tennis, and our
newest sport, golf.
-
Clinics may be held
for younger grades
in a particular
sport if team
competition is not
yet available for
their grade.
The IHM Sports Club is
involved in many
activities that support
our children. Some
of the activities
include
the Annual Awards
Breakfast where each
athlete receives a
trophy for participating
on a team or in a
clinic. The Sports Club
also presents the annual
Robert DiScenza Memorial
Student/Athlete
Scholarship to two
graduating 8th graders
(one boy and one girl).
THE DUES FOR THE
YEAR ARE $50 PER
STUDENT.
WE ARE IN NEED
OF COACHES AND
CHAIRPERSONS FOR ALL
SPORTS.
PLEASE CONTACT PETE
MCNAMARA AT 722-0834 IF
YOU ARE ABLE TO HELP.

Drama Club:
Under the guidance of
various directors and
the musical direction of
Dr. Laurie Adamo, drama
at IHM has been an
integral part of the
curriculum for over 12
years. The students are
given the opportunity to
express through music,
song, dance, and
dramatics.
Over the past few years,
Dr. Laurie Adamo has
greatly enhanced the IHM
productions by providing
her extensive talents as
the Musical Director.
Her beautiful piano
music accompanies our
students in their
musical productions. Her
time, talent and patient
teaching are invaluable
to all the children who
participate in the IHM
musicals.
The theatrical season at
IHM produces 2
spectacular events. The
season begins with a
fall play followed by a
spring musical revue for
grades 3 - 8 All
productions are
performed at the Murphy
Performing Arts Center
with state of the art
lighting and sound
system.
