Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten

In Pre-K, subjects are interrelated to each other. We do a holistic approach. We do projects and arts and crafts that relate to the seasons, science, math, holy days, and the Catholic traditions and calendar. They are also exposed to reading, math, writing readiness skills.

POLICIES

The children are expected to be on time everyday because this establishes a good school routine early on in their school life. They learn school rules and routine that teach them to share and show respect for everything and everyone around them. Being independent is encouraged.

SPECIALS

The Pre-K class has Show & Tell on Mondays.

They go to Library class on Tuesdays to take out books.
They also go to the Library on Thursdays for Parent-storytelling.

They have Gym class on Wednesday & Thursday.

They go to Music class on Fridays.

PROJECTS

September – apple projects, painting, cooking, measuring, tasting, etc.
October – pumpkin projects, cooking, measuring, experiments.
November – Thanksgiving Feast, cooking.
December – Christmas Show, advent projects.
January – cook pancake breakfast on PJ day
February – mailing Valentines, penny counting & Lincoln.
March – Lent projects.
April – Easter Egg hunt.
May – hatching butterflies for eggs.
June – Graduation !! (show).
