Under the direction of Ms. Jennifer Langford and the musical direction of Dr. Laurie Adamo, drama at IHM has been an integral part of the curriculum for over 12 years. Ms. Langford has been directing the shows at IHM since 1993. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Actors Conservatory Theater in Yonkers. Ms. Langford has managed, produced, and directed in her community theater. Ms. Langford's love of all aspects of theater is shared with the students of IHM. She gives them the opportunity to express through music, song, dance, and dramatics.

Over the past few years, Dr. Laurie Adamo has greatly enhanced the IHM productions by providing her extensive talents as the Musical Director. Her beautiful piano music accompanies our students in their musical productions. Her time, talent and patient teaching are invaluable to all the children who participate in the IHM musicals.

During the last few years, Fr. Tom Kreiser has joined the drama department team. Not only have our students benefited form his directing abilities, but also his choreographic skills. Fr. Tom is a favorite of all students, but especially of our budding actors, singers and dancers.

The theatrical season at IHM produces 3 spectacular events. The season begins with a Fall Musical for grades 3 through 7. Followed by the 8th grade musical (a tradition here at IHM) and finally ending with a musical review for grades 4 through 8. All productions are performed at the Murphy Performing Arts Center with state of the art lighting and sound system.
